ISO 6149 -2 stud end with ISO 261 metric threads and O-ring sealing, it is S series for heavy duty. These stud ends may be used at working pressures up to 63MPa for non-adjustable stud ends and 40MPa for adjustable stud ends, the permissible working pressure depending upon the stud end size, materials, design, working conditions, application etc.

ISO 6149-3 stud end with ISO 261 metric threads and O-ring sealing, it is L series for light duty. These stud ends may be used at working pressures up to 40MPa for non-adjustable stud ends and 31.5MPa for adjustable stud ends, the permissible working pressure depending upon the stud end size, materials, design, working conditions, application etc. too.

Adapters with ISO 6149-2 stud end combine with ISO 8434-1 S series end, or ISO 8434-3 series ends for heavy duty application; adapters with ISO 6149-3 stud end combine with ISO 8434-1 L series end, or ISO 8434-2, or ISO 8434-6 series ends for light duty application.
